Official says Russia unlikely to change metal export duty

MOSCOW, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- Russia will unlikely change export duties on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, introduced in August until the end of 2021, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Yevtukhov said on Thursday.

"This decision will take a while to make, it will enter in force in a month, and I think there will be no point in this. I think we will have to live this year in the current conditions… They (the duties) are unlikely to (change)," Yevtukhov said.

In September, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said that export duties on some metal products could be reduced as prices stabilized after growth.
